Gonzalo Sosa Barreto

Doctor in Law and Social Sciences, Notary Public, Licentiate in International Relations and Master in Business Law. Assistant Professor Grade 2 (interim) in the Chair of Commercial Techniques at the Law School of the Universidad de la República.

Academic assistant in the chairs of Business Contracts and Corporate Contracts at the Law School of the University of Montevideo, and in the chair of Taxation Techniques at the Law School of the Catholic University of Uruguay, all in the careers of Notaries.

Previously, he worked in his profession in the public sector at the General Tax Directorate and the Planning and Budget Office.

In November 2020 he was elected member of the Consultative Committee of Convention 108.

Since May 2020 he is Data Protection Coordinator at the Regulatory and Personal Data Control Unit and Secretary General of the Agency for the Development of e-Government and the Information and Knowledge Society.
