Ana joined KPMG Spain in 2016 and has more than 7 years professional experience in a mixture of technology, law and operations. She specializes in law with technical flair and IT knowledge (she is a provisionally certified ISO/IEC 27001 auditor and has a certificate in IT Service Management – ITIL Foundations). She deals with all aspects related to Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection in different sectors. Additionally, and in order to strengthen her privacy skills, Ana has also obtained CIPM and CIPP/E certification.
She has obtained the Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) credential, one of the highest designations awarded to privacy professionals by the IAPP – International Association of Privacy Professionals. This credential signifies that a privacy professional has demonstrated a heightened knowledge and experience of privacy laws, privacy program management, data protection practices and/or technology of privacy.
Also, she has recently obtained (October 2020) the Data Protection Officer Certified (CDPD) by the ISMS Forum and the AEC Personnel Registration and Certification Center.
Her previous professional experience includes a role as privacy and data protection lawyer in an international education company.
Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Granada (with Erasmus in the University of Bologna – Italy), a Privacy & Security Programme from IE Business School, Master’s in Professional Development from the University of Alcalá (Madrid), a Master’s in Business and Telecommunications, Internet & Audiovisual Law from Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo Law Firm, and a Master’s in Consumer Protection and Company from the University of Granada.
